Countdown star, Rachel Riley has taken aim at Jeremy Corbyn during an interview with channel 4.

Speaking to Channel 4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Ms Riley condemned Corbyn’s approach to tackle anti-semitism within the Labour party.

Riley claimed that the Labour leader has shared platforms with and helped the legitimisation of those who are against the Jewish people and religion.

The interview came hours after Riley told George Galloway to ‘F off’ on Twitter.

Stephen Fry expressed his support with the countdown star, tweeting: “I stand with you, Rachel.”

Labour Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry attempted to defend Rachel, saying: “When someone like Rachel Riley speaks out about her real concerns over antisemitism on the left, even if people dispute some of her specific assertions, the only fit response is to listen, understand, and tackle the root problem. It is not to hurl abuse or impugn her motives.”

This is one of many of the Labour parties deeply rooted problems and I cannot see it being reversed anytime soon, unfortunately.

Pro-Labour news site skwawkbox’ one point reported that Rachel Riley was going to meet Conservative backbench MP, Jacob Rees-Mogg!

They reported: “Former Madam Natalie Rowe has claimed on social media that Countdown mathematician Rachel Riley has been meeting Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg privately for talks about a potential political future for the celebrity.”

Riley responded to the claim saying: “Seriously!!! This is not a parody.

Someone just made that up, and now it’s on Labour fans’ favourite non-news news website Skwawkbox, as news! You can’t make this stuff up 🤪

I’m now available for comment for them, it’s: “😂😂😂😂😂”
