Backbench Conservative MP, Jacob Rees-Mogg spoke to Sky News.

Mr Rees-Mogg will not be backing Theresa May’s Brexit deal in the upcoming vote and spoke to Sky News to discuss the current state of affairs in the Tory party.

The ERG chairman claimed that ‘nobody’ in the Conservative or DUP has changed their minds on rejected May’s Brexit deal over Christmas. DESPITE the government Tory sources suggesting that dozens are changing their minds.

The Prime Minister is hoping that the prospect of a no deal Brexit, or the risk of no Brexit at all will be enough to scare MPs into supporting her deal.

Kay Burley said: “There was a drinks party at Number 10 yesterday and more and more people coming to see the Prime Minister’s point of view.”

Mogg replied: “I’m getting a bit concerned with this obsession with drink that seems to be cropping up in this programme this afternoon.

“I’m not convinced that a drinks party at Downing Street counts as a fundamental change in the Brexit debate, charming though such events are and I’m looking forward to going with my wife to such a drinks party tomorrow.

“But nobody I’ve spoken to in the Conservative Party or in the DUP has changed his or her mind on the failures of the withdrawal agreement.

“Mrs May may have had conversations with her European counterparts, but they don’t seem to have delivered anything.

“What is the concrete change? Where is the beef, so to speak.”

He is right and I don’t think May is doing well accept that people are not changing their mind. Jacob demanding ‘beef’ with the EU is also a first.

EU bosses have not conceded since early December and are not willing to reopen talks. Theresa May has not secured further changes to the Brexit, despite dealing the vote in December to do so.
