Wetherspoons boss, Tim Martin spoke in one of his Eastbourne pubs to a crowd of punters.
Mr Martin fully supports a no deal Brexit and has campaigned for years to get the UK out of the European Union.
Crowds cheered as the Wetherspoons boss highlighted major issues in the Prime Ministers Brexit priorities.
Martin said: “If I say I want to buy you a house and I won’t buy any other – or your car – it’s not going to put the price down, it’s going to put it up. If you’re desperate to buy, and everyone knows this instinctively, then you’re not going to get a good deal.
“What Mrs May has done is to prioritise not leaving the EU but to prioritise the deal.”
“Almost everyone whether you are remain or leave, and politicians agree with this too, they’re saying that the deal that is offering is a bad deal and people don’t want it whatever side of the political spectrum there are on.
“I say we’re better of without a deal now. The first thing is we’d save £39 billion.”
MPs will vote on the 15th of January whether to accept the Brexit deal the Prime Minister has put on the table. It is expected to be widely rejected.
Mrs May has not yet said what the alternative to her deal is, but the legal default option is a no deal Brexit.
In law, the UK must leave the European Union on the 29th March, however, this can be overturned with new legislation which would require a majority in Parliment to support and pass.
Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, is calling for a general election and extension to Article 50.
