An SNP MP was today mocked by Speaker of the House, John Bercow.

The Scottish National Party are staunchly against the United Kingdom leaving the European Union, despite the vast amount of new laws and sovereignty that will be received.

SNP MP Mr MacNeil attempted to make a point of order this afternoon but was quickly mocked by the Speaker.

He said: “Mr Speaker, I distinctly heard Donald Tusk over the weekend saying the options are no Brexit, no deal or this deal.

“So to say it is a binary choice is not right.”

How these people are selected as candidates to represent the SNP I do not know. It doesn’t seem like they are a very bright bunch.

The Speaker replied: “I am extraordinarily grateful for the honourable gentleman’s annunciation.

“But, that intervention suffers from one disadvantage, and that is that it wasn’t even tangential to being a point of order.

“The honourable gentleman and points of order are not even nodding acquaintances in my experience.”

If you’re going to be an MP and contribute to the debate, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to say something which is actually a point of order!

MPs were clearly heard laughing at the SNP MP for his coc* up.

Theresa May will be debating within the House of Commons nearly every single day leading up to the ‘meaningful vote’ on the Brexit deal.

She said earlier: “To deliver on our vote, we need to deliver a Brexit that respects the decision of the British people.

“A Brexit that takes back control of our borders, laws and money, and a Brexit that sets ourselves on course for a better future outside the EU as a globally trading nation, in charge of our own destiny, and ceasing the opportunities of trade with some of the fasting growing and most dynamic economies across the world.”

I’m sure some of this is true, but the reality is the likelihood of her deal passing through Parliament is slim.
