Speaking to listeners on his LBC Radio show, former UKIP leader, Nigel Farage predicted what he thinks will happen when May loses the ‘meaningful vote’ on the Brexit deal.
Nigel Farage resigns yesterday from UKIP and aired his frustration on the path the party is taking with regards to Tommy Robinson.
Mr Farage led UKIP for more than 20 years and stepped down from his leadership role back in 2016 after winning the EU referendum.
MPs are set to vote on the most important deal of their lives next week, but the vast majority of political commentators predict that May’s Brexit deal will not get enough backing in the Commons. Farage gave his prediction as to what will happen.
He said: “I think she will lose by a 100 or so, she will go back to Brussels, there will be a minor concession.
“She will still lose, there will be a crisis and Parliament will agree to delay the date we leave the European Union by another year.
“I feel, I hope I’m really really badly wrong”
Mr Farage has always said that he will go back into frontlines politics if the UK had yet to leave the European Union by the 29th March 2019.
However, this may no longer be the case seeing as he is not a member of UKIP. It would be great to see Mr Farage join the Conservative party and help set them straight on Brexit. I’m sure Mr Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson would well look after the former UKIP leader.
At the moment, nobody really knows what will happen when the deal is rejected, but one thing is for certain, we must not allow politicians to delay Brexit any longer!
