A second student believed to be an Asylum Seeker has been removed from Stoke High School.

A man believed to be 30 years old was removed from the school after enrolling as a student in year 11 to take GCSE exams, but now it appears that second student has also been removed.

The second student enrolled in year 7 and told people that they were brothers.

One female student claimed that the man believed to be in his 30s attempted to message her friend and even asked where she lived.

A student asked: “How’s there a 30-year-old man in our maths class.”

The school recently released a statement on the year 7 students removal.

They said: “This is a matter for the Home Office and we have referred it to them.

“The student is not attending the school at this time. A student in Year 7 is also not currently attending school.

“We cannot comment further on individual cases but we have followed government and local authority policies and guidance, as we do for any admissions matter.”

A Home Office spokesperson said: “We do not routinely comment on individual cases.”

I suspect someone at the Home Office would have had a stern talking to and questioned as to why both men were allowed to enrol at a school so easily.

Dozens of parents reportedly removed their young children from the school in protest and for safety concerns. Would you want you child sharing a classroom with someone whos lied about their age?

I can only hope this has been a major wake up call for the Home Office and that they review their system and controls.
